MILANO - SHINING - 22ND-27TH APRIL 2009 Shining is the edra theme for its Milan Furniture Show venues – the Fiera Milano Rho fairgrounds and its downtown showroom in Via Ciovassino 3. Both are curated by edra’s art director Massimo Morozzi. The theme is developed using a range of shiny, shimmering materials on the very diverse items on display.
The stand at the tradeshow presents a slice of the edra world. Collection classics – here proposed in new materials – sit alongside the new offerings without distinction of rank. Every-green articles look as if they were designed today; the new products are destined to become classics. The museum-like display is set against an unexpected black backdrop.
In contrast, the showroom is bathed in dazzling light. A whole section has been set aside for this year’s new products and materials, on display in several versions and colours.
The new products are designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana and Jacopo Foggini.
